This four-hour class (10:00 to 2:00) will entail making pottery pieces, painting, and creating a natural tincture from dandelions' roots and leaves. Refreshments and lunch will be served throughout the day.
This workshop will start at 10:00 with a quick overview of the day, then all the participants will create one of three styles of cutting/cheese boards out of pottery. These will be embellished with either rolling pins or leaves and flowers. Then some time will be taken to start painting details on the boards. Then our resident " Kitchen Witch" will describe the dandelion tincture process. Then the participants will pick dandelions, wash the herbs, and prepare them for the tinctures.
Lunch will be served around noon and, accompanied by casual conversation. Following lunch, everyone will finish the tincture and cutting boards. The tincture will be taken home that day with instructions on how to proceed and the cutting board will be fired and available for pick up at the farm in two weeks.
